Title: ‘High-penetrating’ emission in the West. Brief engineering overview. Part 1.

Abstract

This paper briefly surveys western works of XX century related to the topic of ‘high-penetrating’ emission. For historical reasons, this research developed mainly towards synthesis of technical and vitalistic concepts, and operator-based (psychic) interactions. The survey is focused on technical aspects of these works from the viewpoint of modern psychotronics. The problem of so-called ‘resonances’ and the opposition between ‘unconventional’ research and ‘pathological scientific scepticism’ are considered. The first part of this paper deals with two well-known western developments — Radionics and the theory of biological resonances — in terms of devices construction and principles of interactions.
